About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in recruitment, with a focus on the financial sector (e.g. hiring econometricians, mathematicians, physicists, quants, etc.)
  • Proven track record of successfully placing candidates in quantitative roles within the financial industry.
  • Basic knowledge of financial instruments, risk management, programming languages, and related concepts.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Proficient in using recruitment software and platforms.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Your role as a Senior Recruiter

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Recruiter to join our team and drive recruitment efforts to the next level. As a Senior Recruiter at RiskQuest, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and attracting top talent in the financial quantitative sector. You'll collaborate with hiring managers and executives to understand our unique staffing needs and ensure the continued success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with hiring managers to define staffing needs, job requirements, and candidate profiles.
  • Utilize your deep knowledge of the financial sector to identify and engage top talent through various channels including job boards, professional networks, and industry events.
  • Conduct thorough interviews, assess candidates' technical and cultural fit, and provide insightful feedback to hiring managers.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future roles.
  • Leverage innovative recruitment techniques to stay ahead of industry trends and attract high-caliber professionals.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to ensure a seamless onboarding process for new hires.

    Kicked off the day with a peaceful bike ride to our office on Herengracht, enjoying the beauty of Amsterdam. Settled in with a cup of coffee, enjoying some casual conversations with colleagues, and addressing any urgent emails.
  • Meeting: Day Start
    09:30  -  10:00
    Together with my working student, we discussed ongoing tasks and shared updates on various recruitment projects. At the end of the meeting, I instructed the working student on what needs to be done for the day.
  • Candidate Sourcing and Interviews
    10:00  -  12:00
    Focused on candidate sourcing and conducting virtual coffees with potential consultants. At RiskQuest we want to develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future roles. I assess candidates' technical and cultural fit, and provide insightful feedback to hiring managers.

    Explored the diverse lunch options in the heart of Amsterdam. Opted for a choice from our curated 'RiskQuest menu', highlighting the best local spots.
  • Stakeholder Meetings

    Engaged in meetings with the recruitment commission to discuss recruitment strategies, candidate pipelines, and give updates on key roles. Since RiskQuest is growing, we need to take recruitment to the next level! We have to leverage on innovative recruitment techniques to stay ahead of industry trends in order to get the best quantitative consultants.
  • Reviewing Applications

    Dedicated time to carefully review and assess incoming applications. 
  • Networking and Outreach

    Engaged in proactive networking activities, reaching out to potential candidates and building relationships with universities and industry professionals. I utilize my knowledge of the financial sector to identify and engage top talent through various channels including job boards, professional networks, and industry events.
  • Stakeholder Meetings
    15:30  -  16:00
    In the weekly RiskQuest Inter-Business Meeting, I provided updates to delegates from various RiskQuest units regarding the Recruitment status. The agenda included discussions on the recruitment pipeline, onboarding processes for new employees and interns, as well as gathering input on the demand for additional staff, so that I know which profiles to target.
  • Wrap-Up and Administrative Tasks

    Concluded the day by wrapping up administrative tasks and preparing for upcoming interviews and assessments. Ensured all documentation was up to date and filed appropriately.

Match? Then we would like to welcome you to the office. We would love to get to know you through an introductory meeting

If the introductory meeting was a success, we would like to plan a second interview with two of our consultants. You will be given a case interview if deemed necessary in the introductory meeting.

If the second interview with the consultants was a success, we would like to plan a third interview with senior people within the organization.
