How you describe yourself

A quantitative master’s degree in; Business Administration, Economics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Physics or other quantitative studies and have practical experience with analyzing (large amounts of) data using SQL, Python or other programming languages
Be passionate of data solutions that have impact on our client business
Intrinsic motivation for continuous learning, such as understanding financial products.
Get satisfaction from using your analytical mind set to analyzing data and recognize (counter)intuitive data patterns
Desire to proactively improve data with the right business and modeling knowledge. Explain and convince other stakeholders of your insights
A high problem-solving ability together with getting things done mentality
Excellent communication and writing skills in English

Next level in Data Modelling

As a Data Engineering Consultant, you develop the best data solutions for leading (financial) institutions in the Netherlands. With us you will work directly with the client. You will learn how to construct data solutions, which will be used for model development. Furthermore, you will learn how solutions and models are implemented in a company.

You will be directly responsible, and you will work together with your RiskQuest colleagues at projects at banks, insurers, and pension funds. In addition to good compensation, we offer flexible working hours and a lot of substantive challenge.

Our Company

RiskQuest is a consultancy specialized in models for the financial sector. In an increasingly complex world, there is also an increasing need to manage risks. Models are an important instrument in this regard.

The base of these models is the availability of data that is of good quality. RiskQuest observes that one of the challenges is to have readily available data that meets high data quality standards. The Data Foundation team focuses on helping our clients to have ready-to-use data so they can use this in their business practices like model development and building Data Science solutions.

In recent years we have been able to build up an impressive client base. We work for all major Dutch financial institutions. In addition, we are continuously expanding our services.

We are a team of 50+ ambitious individuals, almost all of whom have a quantitative background in econometrics, mathematics and physics. Mutual social contacts and an informal working atmosphere with a lot of individual freedom are important to us. You quickly become part of our close-knit team.

Your day at RiskQuest

Start of the day
09:00 - 09:30

Every team member provides a short update and you discuss what you will be working on that day.
Data Gathering
09:30 - 10:30

The task assigned to you is to gather all data regarding a specific attribute. You write your queries to gather the data from various data sources.
Coffee Break
10:30 - 10:45

Time for coffee, together with your colleagues you take a small break from work.
Summarize Data
10:45 - 12:00

You check the data that you have gathered and prepare summary statistics.
Lunch
12:00 - 13:00

Lunchtime, as we work in the center of Amsterdam, you can go for something different every day
Team meeting
13:00 - 14:00

You discuss the results with your team members. Are the results consistent with each other?
Innovative Solution
14:00 - 17:00

It turns out that not all data was correct. You try to come up with an innovative solution for the problem.

Screening

The recruitment team screens your application on the basis of a CV, motivation letter and list of grades. Do we look like a good match on paper? Then the recruitment team will contact you within 2 days.

Introductory meeting

Match? Then we would like to welcome you to the office. We would love to get to know you through an introductory meeting

Second interview

If the introductory meeting was a success, we would like to plan a second interview with two of our consultants. You will be given a case interview if deemed necessary in the introductory meeting.

Third interview

If the second interview with the consultants was a success, we would like to plan a third interview with senior people within the organization.

Offer

If all interviews were succesful, we will present you with an offer!
